This vintage 1960's powder blue car coat hails from the once highly-esteemed Zetter's Furs in Pawtucket, RI, a boutique store known for offering only the highest quality furs, coats, gowns & dresses to The Ladies Who Lunch crowd in the Providence area. It's a cool, soft, almost steel-like baby blue with gray Persian lamb fur collar & cuffs. It may have been a bespoke garment as there are no labels or tags other than the store label & the monogram "M.R.". The fabric is a very plush, soft medium weight wool (cashmere?) Fully lined in lavender silk satin. It buttons off center to the left with five lavender buttons that match the color of the lining. Two slit pockets lined with same fabric. The collar has one furrier hook & eye closure on the left. Two covered snap fasteners at collarbone keep collar in proper alignment. Slight A-line design. Possibly the loveliest vintage coat we've had at The Red Velvet Shoe.
