1940s black suede hard-sided box style purse by Romay. Flip-top lid is fully fitted with mirror. Base of purse lined in very soft (possibly kid) saddle-tan leather. Small coin purse in matching leather & champagne silk lining. Flat lid. Single snap tab closure. Double top handles. Four tiny protective metal feet on bottom.
Measurements:
Base Width: 10"
Depth: 4"
Height: 4"
Handles: 6" drop
Condition: Very good. The mirror has a defect at the top near the snap and a few age/film markings, as does the outside of the purse around the edges and corners. A bit of fading inside along the bottom seam of lining (see photos). It's still a lovely handbag that is beautifully constructed and has a lot of living-it-up left to do!
